Terms of use
Last updated: 1 November 2026
1. The service
Ratings by Sealzi lets people rate and review films, series, seasons and episodes. It is offered by Sealzi and is free. By creating an account or publishing a review you agree to these terms. The Privacy notice explains what we keep.
2. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live sets a higher age for using online services without a parent’s consent. You sign in with passkeys kept on your devices; keep your devices and the email address on your account secure, because a link sent to that address can add a new passkey. Do not pretend to be someone else, and do not create accounts to get around these terms.
3. What you publish
You keep ownership of what you write. By publishing a review you allow Sealzi to show it with your display name, or your username if you have not set one, on Ratings by Sealzi, and to include it in community scores, for as long as it stays published. The same goes for a collection you make: Sealzi shows it, with its name and description, to the people you chose (everyone, your friends, or only you). When you delete a review, a collection or your account, it is removed from the site; backups are replaced over time.
4. Rules
- Nothing unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening or sexually explicit.
- No one else’s personal information, and no one else’s writing passed off as your own.
- No spam, advertising, or titles that do not exist.
- No scraping, automated accounts, or attempts to get around rate limits or security.
5. Moderation
Moderators may remove titles, reviews, public collections or accounts that break these terms. Removal is permanent.
6. Film and series information
Film and series data and images are supplied by TMDB. This website uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB. Scores and reviews are the opinions of the people who wrote them.
7. Leaving
You can delete your account at any time from your profile.
8. No warranty
The service is provided as it is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sealzi is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from its use, or for what members publish.
9. Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.
10. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta. Questions: support@sealzi.com.
